Matt Black Reception Signage for Refind Aesthetics
Refind Aesthetics is a skin clinic in North London, created to be a calm, welcoming space where patients feel supported. Founder Dr Dana Sobhanpanah asked Sign Vibe to turn her logo into a matt black reception sign for the clinic in N1.
She already knew the look she wanted: clean black lettering, raised slightly away from the wall to create depth. What she needed help with was choosing the right material and turning the logo into a sign that could be made and fitted accurately.
Choosing the right material for the reception sign
After a few conversations on WhatsApp and over the phone, we recommended matt black acrylic. It would give Dr Dana the finish she had in mind, allow us to laser cut the detail of the logo in-house and keep the cost within reach.
Turning a JPEG logo into production ready artwork
Dr Dana sent us her logo as a JPEG, together with the measurements of the wall area she wanted the sign to fill. We used this information to prepare a quote for the project.
Once the quote was approved, we redrew the logo as vector artwork. Unlike a JPEG, vector artwork has clean outlines that can be resized without losing detail. It also gives the laser cutter the accurate paths needed to produce every part of the logo.
Before production, we prepared an artwork proof so Dr Dana could check the size, position and overall layout of the reception sign.
Made in house and installed on site
With the artwork approved, we cut the logo from matt black acrylic using our CO₂ laser. We then attached stand-off locators to the back of the lettering and produced a fitting template to position every element correctly on the wall.
Once everything was ready, we arranged a suitable installation date with Dr Dana. The fitting went smoothly and the finished sign gave her the matt black, raised look she had pictured for the clinic.

The completed sign brings the Refind Aesthetics logo into the space in a simple, considered way. The matt black acrylic suits the calm interior, while the stand-off fixings add depth without making the sign feel heavy. Most importantly, Dr Dana was very happy with the finished result.
